They will take pictures without complaining...

I am playing with Flickr...can you tell?
They will also bring you yarn...

Offspring went to Kentuck a while back and bought some yarn for me! Sadly, she didn't really know yardage or anything. I'm sure the vendor told her or had it somewhere, but she wasn't listening. I still love her though.
Oh! The vest specs...sorry...
Pattern: I made it up. It's a Lillian/Back-to-School U-neck hybrid.
Yarn: Caron Simply Soft
Commentary: This is the second time I've used the Lillian numbers to make a vest. While mostly happy with it, I will probably adjust the armholes a little next time. I think it could use a little blocking on the straps, but I'm not sure how to block acrylic.

Wordless Wednesday
bwahahahaha!!! Who am I kidding? I can't keep my mouth shut. So it's not a wordless post, but it's short.
NaKniSweMo Vest progress shot:
Nothin' left but the neck and armholes. I tried it on and it fit very well. Offspring will be in town briefly this week-end. Wonder if I'll finish in time for her to take a modeled picture...for old time's sake.

Happiness Is...
- having the snowflakes finished and mailed.
- a warm cat napping on your lap.
- 3 1/2 hours of uninterrupted knitting time and 85% of my tank done.
- a Crimson Tide victory!
Oh! Except this:
First, close your eyes and pretend it's Thursday...
Ready?
I was reading over on Carole Knits about Thankful Thursdays and I thought I would play along. It's always good to focus on good stuff.
I'll start with the obvious. I am thankful for:
- my wonderful husband.
- my wonderful daughter.
- my 4 warm cats.

No, I Have NOT Fizzled on Day 4
I did almost forget, though.
And don't worry, I won't keep you. I just wanted to show you the NaKniSweMo sweater I started.
Flash photography is just awful.
It is neither Lillian, La La's, nor Ophelia. I am using the Lillian pattern as a guide and instead of the lace pattern, I'm just using 2x2 rib. There will not be 50,000 stitches in this tank. More like 10,000. That will just have to do.
I still want to do Ophelia, but I'm also now toying with the idea of MDK's Daily Sweater (I'm still researching.) Of course, there's the FLS as well. Decisions, decisions! (And of course actually doing something once a decision is made!)

I'm Weak!
I'm officially joining:
And I will combine it with:
I'll actually be fudging the NaKniSweMo since Ophelia is nowhere near 50,000 stitches. Please don't tell anyone, ok? (Then again, I do want to make another Lillian. Maybe the two of them together will equal 50,000?)
