Monday Mish Mash

I haven't done one of these in a while. It's time for a mish mash.

  • Why did it take me so long to try a CHIBI needle?
  • Back to the old grind today...but only for three weeks, then it's two weeks off. Teacher schedules aren't too shabby.
  • Is it just me or are there some really maudlin Christmas songs out there? (I'll Be Home for Christmas and Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas come to mind.)
  • I decorated for Chanukah...if you count putting blue and white lights on the mantel with two menorahs as "decorating."
  • DSCN0474
  • Kittens are really cute, which is good 'cause they can also be annoying. (I discovered a chewed up circular needle yesterday.)
  • My feet were cold all weekend. I made slippers. I didn't seam them very well, though. I used some Red Heart Super saver from the stash and size 8 needles (5.0 mm.) Now my toes are nice and toasty.
  • DSCN0475
  • In retrospect, I should have done the crochet cardigan I'm working on in one piece up to the armholes. Oh well, live and learn.
  • I saw the latest Harry Potter with the family over the holidays. I'm a little sad that the series is ending (I haven't read the book...yet), but it will live on through HPKCHC. ;-)
  • I'm going to be kind of glad when NaBloPoMo is over. The challenge is fun, but I don't really have that much to say (which I'm sure you have all noticed.)
  • Football breaks my heart.
