The Kindle Debate

I suddenly decided that I want a Kindle. I have been railing against Kindle for at least a year. I swear, I'm a book gal. I want pages to turn; dog ears to create. I don't like the thought of curling up with a good...electronic device (er...that didn't come out right.) But here's the thing: When I go anywhere, I'm packing tons of books. Hubadub goes to bed earlier than I do. He can't sleep when my beside lamp is on and I can't read in the dark (I've tried book lamps with varying degrees of success.) Someone told me a kindle could solve this problem.

Reasons to buy a Kindle:
1. Traveling light. Fewer books.
2. Read at night.
3. I like new toys.
4. Green factor. No books to pile up in landfills when I'm gone.
5. Knit while reading. (As soon as I can knit without looking)

Reasons not to buy a Kindle:
1. I already have too many print books that I haven't read.
2. Kindle edition books aren't that much less expensive than print books. (I found one Kindle edition that was actually a few cents more!)
3. I like to own my books. I like to know they are mine; that I will not wake up and find them gone.

While I'm talking about Kindle, I'll report on Book #23.

Summer of the Sky Blue Bikini by Jill Ross Klevin
Typical late 70's teen dilemma romance from the series I mentioned a few days ago: The guy or the in crowd?

If I'm not careful, it's going to be really hard to "outdo" myself next year.
