This may end up being another one of my wild-hair-don't-start-what-I-finish ideas, but I'm considering volunteering to be a test knitter/crocheter. I joined the
Free Pattern Testers group on Ravelry and I've been stalking it for a couple of weeks. I'm thinking I should start with smaller projects. I don't really care about making money. I'm happy to do it for a free pattern. Do any of you pattern test? If so....
- How did you start?
- Do you use stash yarn or do you buy the yarn when the designer chooses you as a test knitter?
- Have you had any bad experiences? (You could privately e-mail me for that if you prefer.)
- What advice would you give to an aspiring test knitter?
