I Call It "Still Life With Jammies"

I have two more FO's officially under my belt and I learned how to use the self timer on my camera.

Juliet & Shalom

Specs for Juliet III

10kH: 9.91 hours

Specs for Shalom

(BTW, I forgot to mention the 10kH totals for my Van Dyke Socks. 18.42 hours. I can knock off 53.83 hours leaving me with 9818.12 hours to go. All told I have knit for completion for 191.88 hours.)

Now back to Shalom...let's deconstruct it, shall we?

Shalom Commentary

I know we are our own worst critics, but this photo is actually doing Shalom some justice. In real life the mistakes are even more glaring.

And I will go on record now and say that I enjoy knitting/crocheting with acrylic, but as far a garments go it may not be the greatest choice. With natural fibers I could block out some imperfections and uneven knitting, but that just isn't the case with acrylic. Do not think you will never see an acrylic garment from me though. I'm currently considering a garter stitch cardigan in TLC Heathers. It's an experiment. I've learned that acrylic doesn't work so well for lacy patterns or stockinette. Let's see how garter stitch goes.
