Lazy AND Wishy-washy

I woke up this morning and decided to frog the Flamingo Stripe socks. The closer I got to the toe, the more I dreaded the kitchener. I started them again from the toe up. So once again, I have nothing to show for Socktoberfest.

I have finished the shawl, though:

MIL Shawl
Ash looks a little wild-eyed, doesn't he?

Pattern: La La's Simple Shawl
Yarn: Lion Brand Homespun; 2 skeins (which, by the way, puts my skein total at 18)
And let me take a moment to say that as far as yarns go, homespun isn't the worst. Not the best, but not the worst. It didn't show off the pattern very well, but it is very plush and forgiving (since there was one mistake that I made.)
Needles: US 10.5 (6.5 MM) Addi circs.
New technique: Decrease Bind-off

I really enjoyed pattern. Perfect TV knitting. I just discovered 600 yds of Simply Soft in my stash. Wonder if I should make one for myself....

And I should probably make some goals for November.

1. Finish the socks!!!
2. Get started on Ophelia.

Ok. Two. Two goals is good. (Except I can already tell that when I finish this, I'll be casting on another La La's.)
